Abi Gowenlock

Reformer Pilates Instructor


Another South African joins our crew… we can’t wait for you to meet Abi who is in charge of running our MGS Reformer Pilates Program.

Abi grew up in Durban and moved to Sydney in 2016. She qualified as a BASI Mat Pilates Instructor over 7 years ago and started out teaching at a physiotherapy clinic in Cape Town. Abi went on to complete her reformer training in Sydney in 2020 and has worked at various studios on the Northern Beaches.

Abi is well known in the local area, having taught group reformer Pilates classes at Studio Pilates Balgowlah and Mosman as well as Fusion Plus Pilates.  She also taught group mat classes at Swell Yoga for the last year.

With a strong focus on movement precision, she will guide you through precise movement patterns, strengthening and stabilising your inner core to promote postural alignment and muscle balance.

When she’s not in the studio, you’ll find her playing in the waves, getting a tennis lesson, curled up with a good book, doing school runs, making friends with other dog lovers and generally making the most of the wonderful outdoors we have here in Manly.
