Kate Goswell

Physiotherapist

After graduating as a Physiotherapist from the highly regarded Auckland University of Technology, Kate moved straight into private practice where she was able to refine the skills that saw her win a university prize for outstanding clinical practice. Kate’s initial experience was dealing with sports injuries, spinal rehabilitation and post-surgical care. Kate moved to Australia and has worked most recently in the CBD at another busy and very well respected physiotherapy practice again refining her skills and knowledge base within a large and experienced team.

Kate is now a Manly girl and MGS has been lucky enough to have her join us here in manly. She is now close to home and the North Head cross fit gym where she loves to train and compete.

Although her training efforts are now directed towards cross fit, Kate has an impressive history in Gymnastics. Twice a representative in Artistic Gymnastics for New Zealand she competed at the 2002 Commonwealth Games and the 2003 World Championships. Although her career was cut short by a lower back injury she was able to experience for herself the benefits of good physiotherapy intervention and Pilates based rehabilitation.
Kate’s life experience, professional skills and her lively and enthusiastic nature make her a perfect fit for MGS Physiotherapy. She approaches treatment in a holistic manner and uses a combination of hands-on manual therapy, Pilates-based exercise and biomechanical analysis to achieve excellent outcomes for her clients.

Kate has become our most sought after Women’s’ Health Physiotherapist. Kate can provide treatment for conditions such as urinary incontinence or poor bladder control, bowel incontinence or constipation, over-active bladder & urge incontinence, pregnancy and post-natal care, vaginal prolapse, painful sex and pelvic pain. Along with Women’s issues, Kate is also experienced in Men’s bladder dysfunction following prostate and urinary surgery.

Recently Kate has returned to MGS work after having a year off being a mum to young Thomas. She has embraced her new lifestyle and now knows first hand what her pre and post-natal patients go through. We love having Kate back around the rooms, her beaming smile and cheeky banter are contagious.
