Liane Fenwick

Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist for men and women

Liane (pronounced “Lee-arn”) is a compassionate and experienced senior pelvic health physiotherapist who is committed to ensuring the best possible outcomes for her male and female clients. She provides individualised, evidence based pelvic health treatments for a variety of conditions including incontinence, prolapse, pelvic pain, sexual pain, bladder dysfunction, defecation disorders, post-prostatectomy, and pregnancy conditions. Liane is also experienced and tertiary qualified in fitting pessaries for pelvic organ prolapse, and enjoys working collaboratively with patients to devise general exercise programs that are pelvic floor friendly, including post-natal or post-surgical return to exercise.
Liane has enjoyed working as a physiotherapist for 26 years and while her early career centred around sports physiotherapy and exercise, it wasn’t long before she gravitated toward the meaningful and impactful work of pelvic floor physiotherapy. This interest saw Liane complete post-graduate qualifications in Pelvic Floor and Continence physiotherapy (Melbourne University), Exercise and Women’s Health (Melbourne University), Human Nutrition (Deakin University), and Conservative Management of Pelvic Organ Prolapse (University of SA). In addition to her extensive post-graduate university qualifications in the field, Liane ensures she remains up to date with the most current pelvic health research by attending regular professional development courses and conferences. Prior to joining MGS Physiotherapy Liane spent many years working in Melbourne at one of Australia’s leading pelvic floor clinics where she worked closely with specialists, surgeons, and GPs.
Liane is also a former Australian Olympian (beach volleyball), former Captain of the Australian indoor volleyball team and a former Australian rowing champion. She is the mother of two teenagers and in her spare time enjoys walking her dogs, making wonky pots on a pottery wheel, camping, and volunteering with Guide Dogs Australia.
