Ryan Farrell

Physiotherapist

Ryan graduated from the University of Sydney with a Masters in Physiotherapy, having previously completing a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise science at UTS. He is now onto his third degree, currently undertaking a Masters in Sports Physiotherapy through LaTrobe University.

Although Ryan was born in the UK, he grew up on the northern beaches from a young age. The active lifestyle and large community sport participation on the beaches was perfect for his passion for all things sport. Ryan was lucky enough to have this passion take him overseas, where he played cricket for 6 months in London in 2019 whilst undertaking some part-time sports physiotherapy. Ryan continues to enjoy his sporting ventures, currently playing for Manly’s first grade cricket side. Along with this, you will find him on his day off at Long Reef Golf Course feeding his unhealthy golf obsession.

Ryan has strong manual therapy skills and likes to combine this with his passion for exercise and strength training with his clients. Ryan has a special interest in rehabilitating injuries of the shoulder, knee and hip. He has his own personal experience with these areas, having had multiple shoulder injuries playing cricket and suffered a bad knee injury at the end of 2020.

Ryan also has extensive experience treating adolescent clientele, having provided physiotherapy coverage for an array of junior teams in sports such as gymnastics, swimming, hockey, softball, ballet dancing, basketball and cricket. He understands how impactful injuries can be to the physical and mental wellbeing of adolescent children, and believes he does a great job in conveying a holistic approach to management.

We love having Ryan on our MGS team, his friendly relaxed nature is infectious, and he is a pleasure to work with.
