Brian Payne

Physiotherapist

Ba.App.Sc (Physiotherapy)
Brian is one of our most experienced Physiotherapists. He has extensive knowledge of all injury types and mechanisms presenting to our rooms. From back strains and headaches through to ankle and knee injuries, Brian welcomes and enjoys the diverse challenges of them all. Brian’s background in teaching and private practice physiotherapy arms him with the ability to clearly explain and demonstrate what is behind a person’s particular condition. Like all of our Physiotherapists Brian likes to identify the underlying issues of anyone’s particular complaint. He believes that until the causes of symptoms are identified treatment cannot be directed towards improvement in the long term. “Short term treatment results are important however it is the long term results that most people are looking for”

Brian proudly boasts of his involvement with the St Augustines College in Brookvale whose 1st XV rugby team has been very successful over the past few years. Brian has put a lot of time and effort into their injury management however the rest of us at MGS have pointed out to Brian that he does not actually play for them and as such should not take quite as much credit for their victories.

After work Brian thoroughly enjoys being a father to his two young children taking them to as many play areas as possible in an attempt to get them to sleep. He has also recently retired from surf boat rowing which is arguably the world’s toughest sport. He is now pursuing the more gentile sport of surf ski paddling and pushes out some km’s on his road bike

Brian is one of the MGS Mona Vale business partners and heads up the Mona Vale Clinic
