Lisa Studach

Physiotherapist

Lisa was born and raised in Switzerland and traveled to Australia as an exchange student from the xUniversity of Zurich. After completing her BA at the University of Sydney, she worked at the anthropology department for a while and later qualified as a personal trainer.

She loved her work in the fitness industry but found it frustrating that she wasn’t qualified to train and rehabilitate injured clients appropriately. After a few years away from studying she decided to return to university to become a physiotherapist. Lisa also holds a Masters in International Public Health and a Masters in Translation and Interpreting.

After graduating Lisa worked at the Royal North Shore Hospital and in a few private practices on the Northern Beaches before traveling overseas and interstate with a group of elite Olympic distance triathletes looking after their strength and conditioning, rehabilitation, injury prevention and soft tissue treatment programs.

Lisa is herself a keen runner and cyclist, having competed in a number of long distance triathlons. She is passionate about leading an extremely active lifestyle, not surprising given her other half, Cam, is a professional triathlete. She spends her free time training outdoors or at the gym, walking the dog or doing Pilates. Her and Cam have welcomed baby Finley into their lives and are embracing the joys and challenges that come with growing a young family, yet somehow she just manages to find the time to stay so fit and well.

Lisa likes a mix of hands-on treatment and exercise prescription, as she believes clients need to be able to be given and learn the tools to self-manage their conditions. She has a particular interest (and skill) in Clinical Pilates and treating sporting injuries.
