Alice Hanger

MSK and Pelvic Health Physiotherapist

MGS would love you to meet Alice, another K1W1 joining our MGS crew. Born and bred in Dunedin, New Zealand, Alice also completed her Physiotherapy qualifications in Dunedin in 2008. She comes with a wealth of knowledge and experience, having worked in many places including Melbourne, Sydney City and a five year stint in the UK.

Since 2016 she has made Sydney her home and she has settled into the beautiful Manly. Her experience is vast and varied, having worked in musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Clinics in both private and the public sectors.

Alice believes that both a good understanding of the injury and its cause, then having a plan aimed at getting back on track contributes to getting back to full function as quickly as possible. This she feels needs the right mix of both hands-on treatment and exercise prescription. Alice has spent plenty of time teaching Pilates, and gets great results bringing Physio treatment and Pilates together to get patients back to full function quickly.

She has undertaken plenty of Continuing Education Courses, especially in Pilates, Shoulder Injuries and more recently in Women’s Pelvic Health.

Like many of our Physio’s, she has a young family with her two daughters, Zoe and Freya, and husband Dan keeping her on the ball outside of our clinic. She loves anything to do outdoors, running trails, jumping in for an ocean swim or snorkelling, or hiking in the fresh air. Come in and meet her, we’ve never seen an unfriendly New Zealander before, they are amazing.
