Chad Geister

Physiotherapist

Ba (Exercise and Sports Science)

Doctor (Physiotherapy)

Chad is born and bred here on the Northern Beaches, having gone to school locally in Warriewood, he went on to qualify from Macquarie University with a Doctor of Physiotherapy, after completing a three-year Bachelor of Sport & Exercise Science at Australian Catholic University.

After working 5 years as a Personal Trainer during his study, Chad went on to work at a private Physiotherapy clinic in Dee Why. There he gained a wide range of skills to help all kinds of patients and conditions, helping them reduce their pain and get back to what they love doing.

Chad has grown up with Physiotherapy in his blood. For many years he has watched his dad helping patients be their best, and he has always had his sights set on going down that path, and been fascinated by how the human body functions and how to make things feel and work better. Chad feels that this, and him playing all different kinds of sports has given him his drive to be an accomplished Physiotherapist. He has gained lots of sports coverage experience, working for sports teams including soccer , Rugby League and AFL. While growing up he had keen interests in soccer, basketball, Martial Arts, surfing and anything involving fitness. He is still currently playing with the Manly Warringah Wolves AFL Club and you will find him squeezing in gym sessions whenever he can between the odd round of golf.

Chad loves nothing better than working with athletes from a variety of sports including AFL, soccer and Rugby League, as well as runners ranging from marathon athletes to casual weekend warriors.  He has specific interest in Assessment and treatment of running related injuries, Gait analysis and orthotics, all acute sporting injuries plus the chronic overuse conditions as well as spinal back and neck conditions for all age groups.

Chad utilises a combination of manual therapy techniques such as massage, joint mobilisation and manipulation, dry needling as well as individually tailored exercise prescription in order to help patients to identify the root cause of their problem, reduce their pain and improve their overall function and quality of life.

On his own time, you can find Chad at the beach or away on a camping adventure exploring this beautiful country and what it offers. Chad is based permanently in our Mona Vale clinic.
